  • First contact- a pleasant costumed chat between Mrs White from Clue and The Mummy
November 24, 2010  - Candlelight Cafe - Amityville
  • First dance together - a random meeting at a club night run by mutual friends Patti and Rich but everyone is so busy dancing no names or numbers are exchanged!
Jan 29, 2011 Blue Lounge - Levittown
  • Lorena and Chris finally have a conversation for the first time at a club night run by the same mutual friends.
Jan 31, 2011 first date Candlelight Diner - Commack
  • Lorena arranges to have friend Gigi do a safety check text message at 10pm but get so caught up in conversation with Chris she doesn't hear her phone go off.
    Gigi ends up sending friend Kevin to the diner to make sure Lorena is safe.
Feb 9, 2011 "Bat-Shirt-a-versary"
  • Lorena and Chris discover that they share a mutual obsession for all things Batman, and Chris literally gives Lorena the Batman shirt off his back.
March 5, 2011 day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art-NYC
  • The first time Lorena introduces Chris to her friends. 
March 26 2011 Benefit for the People of Japan at Mr Beery's - Levittown
  • The first time Chris introduces Lorena to his friends.

  • Lorena and Chris decide they were really dating all along and might as well go with it - at the suggestion of Kevin they decide to set "anniversary" at the date Chris gave Lorena the Batman shirt.
May 19, 2012 Get a cat together - Quincey P Morris
  • Lorena is moving to a new place and wants a second cat as a companion to Renfield. She fell in love with kitten Quincey on Petfinder but had to take him right away despite the new apartment not being ready. Chris fosters Quincey for six weeks at his own place and an enduring inter-species bromance is born.
Feb 1, 2013 Move in together 
  • Chris moves in with Lorena: joining cats; Quincey and Renfield, and Lorena's nine tarantulas; Miss Piggy, Geist, Dozer, Nomi, Garthim, Honey Pie, Earhart, Gustavo, and Cheetoh.
Apr 1, 2013 - Make it official - IFC Theater - NYC
  • After a morning of of ring shopping and lunch at City Winery; Lorena and Chris announce their engagement privately to a few family members and then publicly on Facebook. They immediately turn off their phones for two hours to watch a documentary on The Shining at the IFC Theatre and spend the next twenty-four hours solemnly swearing this is not an April Fools Joke.

  • What started one Halloween becomes official on another. If you know Lorena and Chris you know there is no more fitting date.
